Maroubra’s Tribute to Andy Irons

A tribute video put together by my community of Maroubra (Australia) for a dear friend and 3X World Surfing Champion, Andy Irons, who sadly passed away in November 2010.
There were several paddle outs happening all over the world in honour of the legend which demonstrated just how much Andy had touched the surfing community all over the globe. Maroubra was no exception. We arranged a paddle out of our own at the northern end of Maroubra Beach on Sunday 7th November lead by my good mate and one of Andy’s best friends Koby Abberton. Surfers, friends, children and families all gathererd in the water, on the cliff and on the beach to salute a true hero of our generation…
Gone but never forgotten! Our prayers and wishes are with your family and all our brothers in Kauai…Rest in Peace Andy…
