Supporting Mickey Avalon Australian Tour 2011

I will be supporting my American buddy Mickey Avalon once again on his Australian tour titled “Search For Mrs. Avalon Australian Tour 2011″.

You may remember Mickey Avalon’s international hits in “Jane Fonda”, “Mr Right” and “My Dick”. This will be Mickey’s 5th consecutive year touring Australia with sell out shows over the past few years. This year will be no different!

This is the 2nd national tour I support Mickey on where in 2009 I was fortunate enough to open for him in Melbourne, Gold Coast & Auckland, NZ. This time round I will be doing 3 out of the 4 shows (Melbourne, Sydney & Gold Coast).

Check out the official video for My Brother’s Keeper. I really wanted to portray the whole theme of My Brother’s Keeper as a ‘Family’ and looking after your own etc. A lot of people have this perception that it is a gang, or related to Bra Boys etc. It is a lot more than that! Yes it is a motto we as Bra Boys live by, but it is also what families or group of humans and even animals live by as well and that’s protecting those within your circle!

Yesterday I spent the day shooting the video for my next single “Hear You Calling” featuring Mat McHugh (The Beautiful Girls).

A few weeks ago, I was asked in a magazine interview, who would be my dream collaboration and I answered “it was Mat McHugh and we’ve just recently collaborated so I’m stoked about that!” I’ve been a a huge fan of his music both with The Beautiful Girls and his solo stuff since I was a teenager. So to now be working with him is an honour. Mat nailed the chorus and I am very proud of how the whole track has come together. Excited for everyone to hear it! Should be released around Feb/March 2011.

The shoot was great fun. Worked with a hell crew who were easy to work with and Mat had me in stitches all day, he’s a funny dude! The footage from the shoot came up well, am psyched to put this thing together over the next few weeks!

Check out the launch party for Freedom I threw 2 weeks ago at White Revolver, Bondi. Wanted to premiere the new film clip to my closest friends and family before releasing it. They have supported me since day one and so I like to include and involve them in every way possible! It was also a good excuse to get drunk and party!!! Good fun!

Maroubra’s Tribute to Andy Irons

A tribute video put together by my community of Maroubra (Australia) for a dear friend and 3X World Surfing Champion, Andy Irons, who sadly passed away in November 2010.

There were several paddle outs happening all over the world in honour of the legend which demonstrated just how much Andy had touched the surfing community all over the globe. Maroubra was no exception. We arranged a paddle out of our own at the northern end of Maroubra Beach on Sunday 7th November lead by my good mate and one of Andy’s best friends Koby Abberton. Surfers, friends, children and families all gathererd in the water, on the cliff and on the beach to salute a true hero of our generation…

Gone but never forgotten! Our prayers and wishes are with your family and all our brothers in Kauai…Rest in Peace Andy…

Here is Episode 3. Its basically behind the scenes of the video for Freedom that we shot in Bali a few weeks back. Had an absolute ball shooting this video with friends from all over the world all chillin in Bali. The wait is almost over, the official FREEDOM video will premiere next Thurs 11th online so stay tuned! I hope you have been enjoying the series!

My Brothers Keeper video shoot

I have been busy getting ready for the release of the ‘Freedom’ single which will also have ‘My Brothers Keeper’ as a B-side to it on iTunes. And just to make things a little more busier around here, my team and I decided to shoot a video for ‘My Brothers Keeper’ as well (who needs sleep)! This song has a powerful message that I feel strongly about and wanted to convey a true sense of ‘family’ in the concept of the video. So I got some family to play the roles of 3 siblings in this story. You will see what I mean when you see the finished video! I hope you guys like it. Im happy with how its coming along…
